I am just wondering if anyone knows exactly how the maximum number of songs works. I had always thought it was 12 total between singles and album songs, but I’ve now seen multiple albums with both 12 singles and 12 album songs, so 24 total - or a double album. I can’t seem to find any examples of albums with over 12 total, except when there is a full 24. I’m now thinking the maximum is 12 total normally, but you can do a special 24 song double album. I don’t know if I’m completely off on this. Does anyone happen to know?
Maybe it would be cool to keep the bug and call it a special “double album” feature? Just a thought. The mechanics kind of make sense because bands do release double albums, which is why I didn’t think it was a bug in the first place and if it takes players the same amount of time to do the album songs as normal, it’s not really an advantage (besides knowing it’s a possibility when others might not know). I feel like if the record album page informed players they could do a 24 album song as a special feature, it would be fair. Could also be a way for newer players to have a better shot at a number one album if they sacrifice the time. Just wanted to share my 2 cents. The song structures and mood update is what brought me back to the game and the idea of any other update (or in this case the reveal of a “new feature”) gets me excited again about the game.
There’s literally 12 songs on my album… & it takes 12 days to make, it’s been like that since I started in 2018.. I’m confused on where the bug is? If you have 12 songs on a album you put 12 songs… If you have 12 songs on a album & want the album done faster you put 0 & and the album will be done tomorrow, with a lower rating / examples of that are my artists (the boys / Queens ). There’s never been a 24 song album, the max is 12.
The reason the album took 12 days to make is that your band recorded album songs (songs that weren’t released as singles) and they were included in the album. Album songs isn’t the total number of songs on the album, it’s the the number of songs that only appear on the album and weren’t released as singles that there are. Your album has 12 album songs plus the singles - for a total of 24. I’m sorry if me bringing this up ends up in the ability to do this being taken away. Congrats on the awesome album! It’s been #1 for awhile!
I know what was intended here and it was not intended to have albums with 24 songs (12 albums songs + 12 singles). So that's why it will be fixed sometime in the near future. But for now, to keep it at least a little fair to others - here is how it can be done. When recording album, have 12 singles ready, select them all and set album songs to 12 as well. This way there will be an album created with 24 songs. But, like I wrote already, be ready to wait for 13 turns for album to be recorded. Plan ahead.
So basically keep doing exactly what I’m doing.. If anything what you did you intended to do with 12+12? Theres never been an option to add record unreleased songs to an album, they had to be released beforehand.. So 12+12 never made any sense.
Nick.. Now if only I seen 12 album songs on my album along with my 12 singles I selected that would make sense… BUT there’s still 12 songs & not the 24 you’re referring too… When I see [24 SONGS TOTAL] [WITH NAMES] on my album, we will call it a album with > 24 songs.
Javonte, the game doesn’t give those songs names. They’re just listed by the number of album songs there are. The album page only lists the singles that are included.
I don't really see the issue. If you want the best album, you write and record 12 singles and then spend 13 turns recording an album. It's a reward for putting in the maximum amount of work. Even if you only spend 1 day writing and no promotion of songs, it will still take you over a month to get a 24 song album and even then it wouldn't be that good unless you put in the proper amount of time.
